HI!
I'm Amber, the artist behind Extra Caffeine Designs.
Art is my craft, I’d almost call it witchcraft or my Artcraft.
I’m one of those annoying people that watches a video of someone making something and that knowledge has been completely absorbed and I’m already plotting out how to manifest this new technique I’ve just unlocked.
Does that mean I’ve mastered it right away?
No. Definitely not. Mistakes are made, but that’s part of the fun.
I like to collect knowledge…and to my husband’s dismay, art supplies.
Why would someone be annoyed that I hoard art supplies?
Space.
The answer is space.
My little family and I are nomads that travel full time in our fifth wheel for my husband’s work.
Our home is wherever we park it.
We currently find ourselves in a quiet corner of the South and frequent 3 states on a weekly basis.
In the fall we’ll be sent off to our next destination.
You’ll want to follow my socials to see our journey.
I’m sure you’ve figured out by now that I’m married. We also made a human. He’s pretty awesome and crazy smart.
Homeschooling fits our family best for this lifestyle.
My artcraft has to be as flexible as we are.
We do a lot of art in school, and so I’ve started using supplies for kids. Experimenting and playing is so much fun. I’ve even started developing a new style using these playful tools.
I have the most fun when I get to play and guide. I don’t call it teaching. My kiddo’s allergic to directions anyway. He’s also a “let me figure it out” kinda person. I show him what I’m doing and the supplies I used, give him examples and tips and then he dives in.
I’m there for support.
This past year we lost our furry family member of 12 years. He’s been my copilot across 11 states and I miss him so much.
I started making mini pet portraits in bright colors to help cope with his loss and then I started branching out into other animals too.
My son and I go to a lot of Zoos. That’s our thing, we go to a zoo in every state we visit. I take a million photos and have an endless supply of photo references now.
In addition to homeschooling, traveling, home…making (the only thing I have in common with a trad wife is that I can cook. Organization is the enemy, I have laundry trauma and object permanence makes the dishes disappear until I can’t find a spoon or a fork) we can obviously add neurodivergent to this list but I feel like being neurodivergent is a prerequisite of being an artist.
We are a very neuroaffirming household.
Where was I going with this?
Wow this is more like a biography than an “about me”
Oh yeah.
The art.
I published a coloring book called “Moths and Blooms” that can be found on Amazon or downloaded on Etsy.
I’m working on Volume 2 so I can put it in other locations.
As well as a coloring book adjacent project. I don’t want to say too much yet, but it’s going to be epic.
I do freelance line work. You send me your idea or a sketch you need for a project or website wherever and I redraw and clean it up and also convert to a vector if needed.
I design fabric and wallpaper. I’ll also make custom fabrics or wallpapers and usually at no charge as long as you’re purchasing through my sites There will be a fee if you want the file to take somewhere else.
I recently started offering kitchen towels. They’re so cute. I made a custom one this Christmas and it turned out so cool.
I have a RedBubble where you can get prints, stickers and other merch with my images on them.
And more.
This year (2026) the focus is using my art supplies. Even the expensive ones! They have shelf lives. Use them!
If you have a need for some art or have questions, I can be contacted at Extracaffeinedesigns@gmail.com
Email me for pricings
Put an emoji in the subject line to catch my attention.
I don’t currently have commissions offered anywhere, they’re on an ask me and I’ll see if I have the capacity for one right now.
Which is usually yes.
There's my life story, I guess that makes us friends now.
